The ER.

Saturday Night; Movie & Pizza Night ended in the ER at Walter Reed with Callie as the patient. Heck!, we didn't even get to eat the pizza or start the movie. While Court, Jess, Kel, and I were out picking it up, Colter and Callie got into the COPPERTONE SPF 50 and it ended up in her kitchen set bowl, all over her room, clothes, and in both EYES. Poor baby could not even open them. And you'd think all those tears could wash it away..nuh uh. We got home just as Gordon was removing the lotion with a rag...after some debate, we decided not to 'play' with her vision and to take her for a proper eye wash and professional look at her eyes.

(photo taken after the eye wash, eyes in much better shape, hair not so much! can we say coppertone lubed?!)

At 20 months old, she really wasn't having it (and I can't blame her - she was in P.A.I.N.). Of course, the ER was slow(ish) but as soon as her eyes got flushed things started improving and she was getting back to her happy-self. Mimi, Care, and El came to check in with her at the hospital. Bedtime was after 2 a.m. since she got her second wind after recovery. Sunday morning she awoke (to Auntie Kel) with bright blue, UNPUFFY, UNSWOLLEN, not red, and very healthy eyes! < -- run on, I know.. but I was a happy Momma. Traumatic for her and for me. It is so hard to see your baby in pain. SO. HARD.
